100 companies honoured at this year’s East Africa brand quality awards

A total of 100 companies were awarded for defining excellence and inspire the future during the East Africa Brand quality awards held at Kampala Golf Course Hotel.
The awards in their fourth edition ran under the theme “Sustainability: Improving Our People, Products and Planet.”
Speaking at the event, Patrick Nsubuga the Brand Ambassador East of Africa Brand Quality Awards said that these awards serve as a platform for the recognition of sustainable ethical and innovative practices that are trading the growth of the East African region and beyond.
Nsubuga urged traders to leverage trade as a means to shape global development and foster peace.
“At the heart of this whole celebration, is trade, trade is more than just the exchange of goods at service, it’s a powerful tool for achieving united nations sustainable trade, we have the potential to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that everyone in every corner can enjoy peace and prosperity,” Nsubuga said.
“The East Africa Brand Quality Awards are devoted to identifying and promoting businesses that exemplify excellent job creation, customer service, peace , security, integrity, equality and inclusiveness, and professionalism, among other positive impacts.”
He said they have started the Investors’ Hub , a platform he said will greatly benefit manufacturers.
“The reason as to why we have come together with other partners is to support you have ready markets for your markets. We have a portal whereby we are connecting you manufacturers with other distributors from other countries,” he said.
Prudence Kasibante Ukkonika is the CEO of Bella Wines and Juices urged manufacturers to ensure they deliver quality.
She insisted that quality products cultivate a sense of ownership from customers , noting that this should be the way to go for everyone.
Ukkonika also asked Ugandans to buy locally produced goods as a way of supporting local manufacturers.
One of the winners, Hajji Muhamad Kamoga from Kamoga Property Consultants applauded the organisers for recognising the work done by the company.
“We are a company that has served Ugandans diligently with trust and transparency. This award is a testament to our services to Ugandans,” Kamoga said.
