Ntare School, Bushenyi’s Parental Care win national speech, debate championship

Bushenyi district’s Parental Care Nursery & Primary School and Ntare School won the national speech and debate championship for the primary and secondary schools categories.
This was during the finals held on Thursday at King’s College Budo’s main auditorium in Wakiso district and organized by the National Debate Council, Uganda (NDC).

The finals saw Parental Care Nursery and Primary School win their fourth national junior speech and debate championship while this year’s win was the third national title for Ntare School.
To win the competition, Ntare School beat Holy Cross Lake View to join an exclusive club of winners.
The all-boys school displayed a polished delivery, deep understanding of the motion, and sharp arguments as they won their opponent 10:1 in the final score as they showed they had prepared well for the finals.
On the other hand, Parental Care Nursery & Primary School, Bushenyi triumphed with an outstanding victory after a thrilling final against Mbarara Municipal School.
The school from Bushenyi proved that age is no barrier to excellence in speech and debate.
Their triumph in the junior category was highlighted by a fierce debate on the future of learning, where Parental Care Nursery & Primary School, Bushenyi stood firm in their belief in the power of STEM education.
