“It ended well without any major security breaches. By security standards we would say everything went well,” Rusooke said.
The Nyege Nyege Festival drew revelers from all parts of East Africa, Africa and the world at large to enjoy a celebration for Ugandan culture.
One of the highlights of this year’s festival was the Reggae stage headlined by special guest Cali P from Jamaica.
According to the police spokesperson, despite being successful, their operations led to arrest of 35 suspects, all male, who were trying to cause chaos during the festival in Jinja city
“Those cases usually don’t miss since there are some few people who want to destabilize others. However, by festival standard 35 is a small number and to this we say, the festival was successful.”
