Police in Kamuli District have arrested two suspects in connection with theft of 100 kilograms of coffee from a garden in Bulira Zone, Butende Parish, Kitayunjwa Subcounty.
The suspects, identified as Fred Kitamirike and David Mwanja were apprehended following a complaint by the garden owner.

Kamuli Police deployed their canine unit, led by the highly trained dog, Joy.
“Upon receiving the complaint, we deployed our canine unit. The dog successfully tracked and led us to Kitamirike’s residence, where we initiated further investigations,” police said.
Kitamirike’s arrest led the police to his accomplice, Mwanja .
The officers recovered the stolen coffee, bringing relief to the community affected by the theft.
The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
Police have emphasized their commitment to ensuring the security of livelihoods in the district.
