3 INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT AT NAMBOOLE FLYOVER
An accident has occurred at the Namboole flyover involving a taxi number UAX 036F and a Nissan Fuga reistration number UBG 615A , which caught fire as a result of the collision this early morning.
Three people were injured during the crash , according to preliminary reports from the police , the Nissan which was travelling from Bweyogerere to Kireka, collided head-on with the Tax moving in the opposite direction . Both vehicles reportedly lost control and crushed into each other.
The impact of the crash caused the Nissan to catch fire, prompting an immediate response from the Fire Brigade with the rescued team, extinguishing the fire and preventing further damage.
The injured included both drivers and a passenger in the Nissan. The driver of the Tax was rushed to Gwatilo Hospital, while the Nissan driver was referred to Nakasero Hospital for further treatment. All injured parties are receiving medical attention, though their conditions remain unconfirmed.
Both vehicles have been taken to Bweyogerere Police Station as investigations continue to find out the exact cause of the crash.
